Cautious optimism returns for business aviation

A lean 2011 is making way for cautious optimism as the sale of business aircraft globally picks up, a trend reflected in this region.

As shown in the annual business jet digest (page ….), the number of jet aircraft grew by 21 in the 12 months to October 31, while 11 were removed from registers in Australia, New Zealand and nearer Pacific nations. Of the 21 aircraft imported, only a handful are new production aircraft, the remainder being used. There now 202 business jets in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea.
