During Australian Aviation’s recent flying visit to Perth, my flight into the WA capital landed on time but then due to congestion at the airport my aircraft had to stand off for 20 minutes until the our nominated gate became available.

“For me, that’s emblematic of what’s happening in Perth, you’ve come here, and you’ve then experienced that delay,” says Brad Greatches, who as CEO of Perth Airport has arguably one of the most challenging jobs in Australian aviation.
