Thai Airways has become the ninth airline to take delivery of the Airbus A380, with the carrier’s first of six on order handed over in a ceremony at Toulouse on September 27.
Thai’s Rolls-Royce Trent 900 powered A380s are being delivered in a 507 seat configuration comprising 12 first class suites, 80 business class sleepers seats and 435 economy seats.

Thai will initially use the aircraft on services from Bangkok to Singapore and Hong Kong from early October. Flights to Paris will begin at the end of the year, with Toyko and Frankfurt services to follow in early 2013.
