The airline, which already operates two daily A380 services between Singapore-Sydney, will continue to operate a third daily Melbourne-Singapore flight using Boeing 777-300s.
SIA said the increased capacity from the switch to the A380 was in line with a broad uptick in services to Australia, including recently added flights to Brisbane and Adelaide.
