Taskforces investigate WA air traffic congestion
The dramatic growth of the resources industry in Western Australia has been accompanied by unplanned pressure on the aviation sector. Air traffic management and airport infrastructure are struggling to cater for increased aircraft demand between Perth and developments in state regional areas.
Two task force investigations have been commissioned by the federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport on resources-based traffic growth in WA to provide issues guidance to Airservices Australia and CASA.
