Embraer has delivered its first US built Phenom 100 business jet to Kansas City based Executive Airshare.

The Brazilian aircraft maker opened its production facility in Melbourne, Florida, in February 2011 and in December opened an adjacent customer centre and showroom.

Embraer hailed the delivery as an important milestone as it expands its US operations.

“After the very successful first flight of the Phenom 100, two weeks ago, the on-schedule delivery of this aircraft celebrates the outstanding skills of the Melbourne team and confirms that we are ready to meet our target of 26 aircraft delivered by the end of 2012,” said Phil Krull, managing director, Embraer Executive Aircraft.
