Winter flying

Part of the magic of winter flying is that like the four seasons the weather changes and with those changes comes the knowledge that a pilot has to do things differently in order to fly safely.

With the onset of winter a pilot typically thinks of lower cloud, rain, wind, storms, fog, earlier last light and reduced visibility. And yes there are days when the skies are clear blue and the winds light!
