It’s time to take demography and geography seriously
It’s time to examine the facts surrounding the extraordinary decision to place the new helicopter training system for the Australian Defence Force (AIR 9000 Phase 7) at Nowra.
While political expediency and poll-driven decision-making have previously played a significant role in the placement of military bases, Nowra is the most unlikely and inappropriate location for ADF helicopter training. ‘Unlikely’ and ‘inappropriate’ are strong words; however, they are accurate if we are aware of reality.
