The fourth Rathmines Catalina Festival will be held on October 23 to help raise funds to restore and base the Cataling Flying Memorial’s Catalina VH-CAT at Rathmines.
The festival will include entertainers, flypasts and landings from seaplanes, Tiger Moths and other light aircraft as well as an aerobatic display from a Pitts Special. In addition, there will be displays of vintage cars and motorcycles and children’s entertainment. Lake Macquarie City Council (LMCC) has now designated the festival a “Significant Regional Event” and last year it won ‘festival of the year’ for the LMCC area.
