Airlines PNG has been awarded a contract by Esso Highlands Limited to provide a dedicated charter aircraft to support the Papua New Guinea Liquefied Natural Gas project.
Under the two year agreement, the carrier will operate a dedicated Dash 8-103 to transport field personnel and freight within Papua New Guinea. The aircraft will also be available to provide medivac operations to Australia from Port Morseby, while domestic services will operate between Port Moresby, Gobe, Tari and Moro.

Airlines PNG also recently announced that it has secured the use of a Lockheed L100 civil Hercules which will be used to carry outsize freight to support the PNG LNG project.
