DAHER-SOCATA has handed over the first TBM 850 turborprop featuring a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit to an Australian customer.
The 2010 model TBM 850 was delivered on March 1 to Capstone Financial Services, which decided to purchase the aircraft after meeting with representatives at the 2009 Avalon Airshow. As with all TBMs produced from 2008 onwards, the aircraft is fitted with a Garmin G1000 glass avionics suite.

Nicolas Chabbert, senior vice president of DAHER-SOCATA’s aircraft division welcomed the delivery of the aircraft, which he said proved that it was an effective tool for local entrepreneurs. “We expect further growth of the TBM fleet in Australia – a large country that is well suited to our very fast turboprop’s capabilities in corporate transportation,” he said.
