Cessna has announced that the Citation CJ4 has received FAA type certification, clearing the way for the first deliveries of the type to commence later this year.
The CJ4, which is the largest of the CJ series, has been certified for single pilot operation and shares a common type rating with other CJs. The final results of flight testing have validated significant performance enhancements including a takeoff distance of 946m at maximum takeoff weight, a direct climb to 45,000ft in just 28 minutes, a maximum speed of 453kt, a range of 2002nm with two crew and five passengers, and a landing distance of 823m at maximum landing weight.
