Embraer reports there is strong interest for the Phenom 100 very light jet in Australia and the region following a successful sales tour of the type in February and before that, the aircraft’s display at the Singapore Airshow.
Phenom 100 PP-XOQ, a company demonstrator based in Brazil, is mid-way through a 10 week tour of the Asia Pacific region and is making stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Cairns, and Darwin, before heading back to Brazil via shows in India and Europe.

Embraer’s vice president marketing & sales, Jose Eduardo Costas told Australian Aviation in Sydney that the company is pitching the aircraft to single pilot operators and companies wishing to upsize from turboprops or from other VLJs, to charter and new style air taxi operators, and is also being marketed to training organisations for transition training for pilots from turboprops to jets.
