Domestic passenger numbers increased by 8.8 per cent for the month, which is the largest increase for a sincle month in the last six months. This is thought to have been driven by an increase in travel due to the increased competition between Air New Zealand, Jetstar and Pacific Blue during the busy Christmas season.
