Peter ‘Pip’ Borrman

On the 25th February Peter ‘Pip’ Borrman died as a result of a mechanical failure while practicing in his Pitts Samson for the Australian International Airshow.

It would be fair to say that in life many of us have role models or heroes who we admire, look up too or even aspire to emulate their achievements. These role models are evident in many arenas of life, typically as elite sports people, musicians or actors but could also be truly worthy recipients like those that are champions for human rights or the environment. They can take many forms. What ever their form or notoriety they stand out because there are the highest achievers in their craft or field. Sadly, when we have the chance to meet many of these role models, more often than not, they are exposed as arrogant with over inflated egos and immersed in their own self importance.
