Jetstar’s assault on a crowded NZ domestic market
Jetstar is set to shake up the small New Zealand airline market with the June launch of services on key domestic routes, replacing Qantas branded two-class services operated by Jetconnect.
The Jetstar services represent something of a fresh start in the New Zealand market for the Qantas Group, and presents a key competitive challenge for incumbents Air New Zealand and Virgin Blue subsidiary Pacific Blue.
