You are no doubt aware that regional aviation businesses are hurting badly.

It is understood that it is not your job to run these businesses nor do you have control over the market. It is your job to design policies that will encourage the market to work efficiently and to ensure that laws, regulations and taxes do not act as barriers to competition and wealth creation.
