The A380 enters Qantas service
Almost eight years after it was first ordered, the Airbus A380 has entered service with Qantas, with the airline’s first revenue passenger service departing Melbourne on Monday October 20 bound for Los Angeles.
Qantas’s first and thus far only A380, VH-OQA Nancy-Bird Walton, departed Melbourne at 11. 33am (pictured above) with a full load of fare paying passengers and Qantas guests and staff, led by outgoing CEO Geoff Dixon.
