Herculean achievement for RAAF C-130s
“A face only a mother could love” was the tagline for Lockheed advertising for its C-130 Hercules airlifter a few years ago.
The phrase was a reference to the Hercules’s ‘unique’ looks, but also a play on words, as the ad spoke about the aircraft being welcomed by parents the world over in disaster areas by flying in food and medical relief.
