E-Systems Australia’s Managing Director is former RAAF Air Commodore Ian Whisker. The entire board of the FAC is progressively standing down during the course of this issue.

Bottom Line

Qantas has reported an operating profit of $320.4m and an after tax profit of $180.1m on operating revenue of $7.28bn, for the 12 months ending June 30. After tax profit rose by 15.5%, while revenue was up 10.3% in the operating period. Domestic operations accounted for $95.3m of the before tax operating profit, while international operations contributed $415.1m. Ansett Australia Holding’s contribution to 50% owner TNT’s net profit for 1994/95 of $60m on revenue of $A6.4bn was $A21.7m, a drop of 70% compared with the previous result of $73.5m. The airline’s operating profit was $A98.5m and net profit approx $A51.5m on revenue of $3bn. The previous year’s net profit was $151.7m.
