The first in Aerospace Publications’ new series dealing with international subjects, Sabre, MiG-15 and Hunter presents a detailed overview of three of the classic, and most important jet fighters of the 1950s and beyond. The three aircraft’s development, variants and users are described in the 100,000 words of text, backed up by over 300 illustrations including technical drawings and colour profiles. A separate chapter deals with the Sabre and MiG-15 in Korea, the first ‘jet’ war in history. Tables summarising serial numbers, production, operational units and other aspects of the three fighters’ careers are also provided.

The beauty of this publication is that it really is ‘three books in one’ with each aircraft receiving more coverage than most single subject books on the same aircraft. It is not definitive and doesn’t intend to be but the detail provided is more than sufficient to satisfy most. A promising start to this new series with following books to be published every six months. Future books will feature other famous fighters, bombers and airliners.

Available from Aerospace Publications, PO Box 3105, Weston Creek ACT 2611, ph (06) 288 1677, fax (06) 288 2021 for $22.95 soft cover or $32.95 hard cover, plus $4.95 postage. Also available in soft cover from most major newsagencies and specialised aviation bookshops.
