Aus Air has begun scheduled passenger services between Moorabbin and Albury. Twice daily flights depart Moorabbin at 6.45 am and 4.10 pm and Albury at 8.15 am and 5.35 pm each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while a single return service is operated on Sunday. Sydney Night Freight Operations Restricted
The Federal Government has withdrawn approval for a number of operators to fly stage 3 compliant freighters into Sydney airport during curfew hours, and announced plans to transfer all night freight flights to Badgery’s Creek when it opens.
The surprise early April decision restricts freight operations into Sydney during curfew hours to BAe 146 aircraft only, thus restricting the operations of Qantas (A300s carrying freight in the under floor cargo holds), Australian Air Express (National Jet’s 737-300) and Mayne-Nickless/IPEC (DC-9-30CF), while Ansett Air Freight, which already operates BAe 146s into Sydney, is not affected.
