Qantas

Qantas has reported an unaudited profit after tax and interest of $128.7m for the six months to December 31 1994, an increase of 79.5% over the corresponding period in the previous year. The pretax operating profit was $A2.03bn, revenue for the half was $A3672.4m, an increase of 9.5% over the corresponding half in 1993 (refer Airline Affairs for more details).

Rolls Royce

Rolls Royce has recorded a profit before tax for the 1994 calendar year of £101m ($A222m), compared with £76m in 1993. Sales for the year were £3.2bn ($A7.0bn), compared with £3.5bn the previous year.
