Newcastle Aviation has leased the former Kendell Airlines Metro Ii Vh-Bis from International Air Parts in Sydney. The entry into service of Vh-Bis now gives Newcastle Aviation an operating fleet of six Metroliners — Metro IiIs Vh-Ssm, -Sst, -Ssv, -Ssw, and Metro Iis Vh-Bis and -Wgx. The Metroliners mainly operate on night freight work though recently they have seen occasional service with Eastern Australia Airlines on scheduled passenger flights.
Aeropelican leased Dhc-6-300 Vh-Xfe from Flight West Airlines in late August for an unknown period.
