Swedair Saab 340A SE-ISX In SWE902 ferried from Darwin to Townsville on July 17. Final destination for SE-ISX was Nelson, New Zealand, where the Saab later entered service with Air Nelson as ZK-FXC. Air Tahiti ATR72 F-OHAT, which was enroute from Toulouse to Papeete, transitted through Townsville on July 12. Sempati Air F27-200 PK-JFK departed Brisbane on July 18 destined for Christchurch and a planned maintenance lay up with Air New Zealand. Noted at Cairns on July 6 was Cessna 414A N414BW msn 0049.
New Zealand continues to be a very active market for Australian registered aircraft. Crossing the Tasman in this period were Cessna 182R VH-HVQ Lord Howe Island to Auckland on June 6; Cessna A185E VH-JBM Lord Howe to Norfolk and Auckland on June 17; Cessna 180D VH-WOW Lord Howe to Auckland on June 18; Cessna 182R VH-JAU from Lord Howe to Norfolk and Auckland on June 24 and Cessna 182E VH-HSF from Lord Howe to Norfolk also on June 24. Noted stored at Bankstown on July 10 was BN-2A/3 9M-MSS, which carries the markings of Malaysian operator Boskym Udara.
