The 707 is continuing to find acceptance as a government and VIP transport, with both Italy and Spain acquiring examples in the last few years.
The RAAF operates five 707s, one of which is adedicated government/VIP and strategic transport. As they are military aircraft. though, they are not required by law to become Stage 3 aircraft or comply with noise regulations applicable to civil airports. However, it is widely regarded that head of state aircraft should comply with the noise regulations of the civil airports they operate to for obvious diplomatic reasons.
