Bizjet News
For what is normally a quiet time of the year there was quite a bit of activity on the bizjet scene. Though we have recorded the arrival of three new aircraft – Challenger, Cessna 550 and Westwind II – we have in turn lost six others from the fleet.
Challenger 601/3A VH-BRG was delivered to Grocon Ltd at Essendon on December 24th. Manufacturer’s serial number of VH-BRG is 5064 and not as we stated in Traffic/December 1990. In the same issue we also surmised that the Westfield Aviation Challenger 601/3A VH-MZL was about to be sold. This has proved to be correct as in October it was registered N54PR to Quantum Inc of Carson City, Nevada. Elders/IXL Boeing 737-33A N731XL departed Melbourne in early December for Dallas where the aircraft is presently hangared awaiting sale. Elders BAe 125-800B VH-IXL remains in Melbourne but it too is being offered for sale.
