Boeing Now Offering Only the 747-400 Series:
Boeing will no longer offer any versions of its 747 jetliners except its newest model, the 747-400.
“The 747-400’s newer engine technology allowing higher gross weights, its two person flight deck plus the aerodynamic efficiency gained from longer wings and wing-lets, all make it the only logical choice from now on,” said Chris Longridge, group vice president of sales. “We now offer the-400 to meet all the desired requirements, including passenger, combi, freight and ‘domestic” or shorter range versions. ”
