Hawker de Havilland have produced components for a large number of Boeing aircraft including the 707, 727, 737, 747 and the 757. To date though one of the most exciting offset contracts has been forproduction of composite ailerons for the new Boeing 737-300(pictured). Initial composite aileron deliveries commence late 1983 with the existing five million dollar contract running through till 1985. With their composite structures autoclave now operational Hawker de Havilland will be able to undertake repairs to future Australian aircraft using composites locally.

In fact, of that total amount of money tied up in contractual arrangements, over eighty million dollars will come from Boeing, Hawker de Havilland’s largest international customer for more than a decade.
