The return of interstate flights received another major boost on Friday when both SA and Queensland confirmed their borders will open in July.


The $10 million of funding set aside for the project will instead be redirected to a new $30 million entertainment hub.


WA Premier Mark McGowan said the border closure would protect residents from “outbreaks of infection in the eastern states”, adding he expects the restrictions to last “for some time to come”.
