Air New Zealand will restart its Wellington to Queenstown route on 28 May and add additional flights between Auckland and Queenstown due to strong demand.

Air New Zealand became one of the first, as the country moved from ‘Level 3’ to ‘Level 2’ rules that meant Kiwis are now encouraged to leave their homes and see friends and family.
Air New Zealand will restart flying to Taupo and Timaru from 8 June, as it slowly expands its network now the country has lowered its coronavirus restrictions.
The airline’s Twitter said, “See you soon New Zealand” as it issued guidance for passengers flying under ‘Level 2’ restrictions now in effect.
Air New Zealand will enable the country’s South Island to transport perishable goods around the world by flying its 787-Dreamliner between Christchurch and Auckland three times a week.
Air New Zealand has announced it will operate seven additional routes when the country’s coronavirus restrictions are lowered over the coming days.
