Boeing says it has pushed back the timeline for the entry-into-service of its 777-8X ultra-long range widebody to "reduce risk" in the program.

Boeing staff have had a first look at the new 777-9X at an internal event at the company's Everett facility just outside Seattle in Washington State.


Boeing's Randy Tinseth says he expects orders for the 777-8X to start coming in once the first 777-300ERs near retirement age.
