Australia’s newest airline Bonza is one step closer to launch, after its first Boeing 737 MAX jet was spotted sporting freshly-painted Bonza livery in Seattle, Australian Aviation can reveal.

The state’s emergency services have already received 1,200 calls for help and made 65 rescues in the last 24 hours alone due to torrential rain and strong winds.

Direct flights between Auckland and Hobart only restarted for the first time in a generation in April last year, before stopping months later due to COVID restrictions.

Meanwhile, Jetstar has cancelled three flights between Perth and Bali this week due to “resourcing challenges”, wreaking havoc on the holiday plans of hundreds of travellers.

The mission was previously scheduled for Monday and then Tuesday, but “consistent winds” forced its postponement with no new date publicly announced.

It comes after the ALAEA received permission from the Fair Work Commission as it attempts to renegotiate its enterprise bargaining agreements.
