Bonza and Rex top on-time performance in November

For the month of November, Bonza flights saw on-time arrivals of 73.9 per cent and on-time departures of 73.3 per cent, with a 4.2 per cent cancellation rate, while Rex had on-time arrivals of 70.5 per cent and on-time departures of 74.1 per cent, with only 0.9 per cent of flights cancelled.

Virgin to insource international baggage handling

The move will see Virgin now insourcing both its domestic and international short-haul baggage handling, with around 40 ramp staff to be given extra training and upskilling. Melbourne and Sydney will begin the transition from February, with Brisbane to follow suit in May.

Stralis moves ahead with hydrogen planes for 2024 demo

Stralis is working with the iMOVE Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) and QUT to install a hydrogen-electric propulsion system (HEPS) into a Beechcraft Bonanza A36 aircraft. The company claims hydrogen planes could transport athletes around Queensland during the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
