Bonza has announced a number of new-hires in its senior leadership team, and perhaps provided a clue as to where it plans to base operations moving forward.

To honour the occasion, the RAAF hosted a ceremony on Monday at RAAF Base Williamtown, attended by Minister for Defence Peter Dutton and nearly 500 people.

It follows previous threats that WA could make the move, after South Australia reopened its border to NSW and Victoria, and subsequently saw a small spike in COVID-19 cases.

Air New Zealand received over 17,000 bookings for international flights within one day of the New Zealand government announcing new rules for international travel.

The changes come just weeks after NSW, Victoria and the ACT opened up their borders for fully-vaccinated overseas arrivals, with no quarantine required.

The Board of Airline Representatives of Australia, and Brisbane Airport both argued that airlines will struggle to plan the reinstatement of international routes to the Sunshine State without greater clarity on the state’s planned reopening.
