The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that “at least” two Australians were on board flydubai flight FZ103 during an attempted hijacking incident and emergency landing on Wednesday, 30 September.

The NZ$3.9 billion overhaul, which will see a new domestic terminal linked directly to the existing international terminal, began in 2024 and is slated for completion in 2028. It will replace the old domestic terminal, much of which dates from the 1960s and '70s.
