Best and brightest shine at Australian Aviation Awards

Held at the Star in Sydney on 6 August, this year’s Australian Aviation Awards recognised the hard work, talent, and innovation of Australia’s aviation industry.

Sponsored by principal partner, UNSW School of Aviation; aviation partner, Airservices Australia; industry partner, Sky Careers; philanthropic partner, Mission Aviation Fellowship; research partner, Agile Market Intelligence; and charity partner, Invictus Australia, the awards – hosted by comedian Mark Humphries – saw aviation professionals and enthusiasts gather to celebrate the industry’s high achievers at a black-tie gala.

A total of 18 group and 11 individual awards were handed out on the night, as well as the prestigious Australian Aviation Excellence Award, which is given each year to the highest-scoring winner across all individual categories. This year, 164 finalists were nominated, a number Australian Aviation’s Jake Nelson said reflected the high standards of the aviation sector.
