The third annual summit will take place on Thursday, 6 August 2026, at The Star Sydney, uniting aviation professionals from across the country for a full day of high-level discussion, strategic insight, and industry collaboration.
From crippling supply chain disruptions and persistent talent shortages to surging operational costs and intensifying global competition, Australian aviation is under pressure on multiple fronts.
At the same time, rapid technological advancements are reshaping passenger experiences and unlocking new commercial possibilities, signalling that the sector stands at a genuine inflection point.
Steve Kuper, Momentum Media’s Lead for Defence and Aerospace, said the timing of the summit could not be more critical.
“Australian aviation is facing a convergence of pressures that are unlike anything the sector has experienced before,” Kuper said. “Supply chains remain fragile, the talent pipeline is stretched thin, and the competitive landscape, both domestically and globally, is shifting fast. But what we’re also seeing is a wave of innovation and investment that presents a genuine opportunity for Australia to distinguish itself as a world-class aviation nation.
This year’s summit draws together senior executives, procurement specialists, supply chain managers, sustainability leads, and emerging talent from across the full aviation ecosystem. Whether attendees come from airlines, airports, defence, manufacturing, or the broader aerospace supply chain, the agenda is designed to deliver actionable insight at every level.
“The Australian Aviation Summit exists precisely for moments like this — to bring together the people who are navigating these challenges every day and give them the tools, the intelligence, and the connections to lead the industry forward,” Kuper added.
Kuper added that the global context makes the domestic conversation all the more urgent.
“What’s happening in Australian aviation doesn’t exist in a vacuum,” he said. “The pressures facing our sector, whether it is workforce shortages, decarbonisation mandates, ageing infrastructure, or the pace of digital transformation, are playing out in every major aviation market around the world. The question for Australia is whether we’re going to be reactive or whether we’re going to lead.”
