Victor Pody caught this beautiful curtain of rainbow mist streaming from the wings of a Malaysia Airlines A330-900, 9M-MNO, as it soared overhead. Malaysia Airlines has brought its more fuel-efficient A330neo aircraft to Australia, aiming to phase out the older A330-300s on services to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The airline says its A330neo is configured with 28 business and 269 economy seats, and is 25 per cent more fuel-efficient than older models, with lower emissions, quieter engines, and a more comfortable cabin.
