The Brisbane-Santo flights, operated on a 144-seater Airbus A320 by Solomon Airlines on behalf of Air Vanuatu, will begin on 1 June and operate once per week on a Thursday.

In a significant intervention, AIPA president Tony Lucas said the airline needs another four 787s on top of the three due to arrive by the winter.   

Keven Wilson’s contributions include animals from iconic state destinations such as Ningaloo Reef, the Margaret River Region, the Kimberley and Perth.

The event – curated by Australian Aviation’s sister brand Defence Connect – will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on 3 May and hosted by former Defence Minister Christopher Pyne.

With COVID restrictions over and clear skies across many states, Australians were treated to one of the best displays in years.

The surprising decision comes despite Defence Minister Richard Marles previously saying that purchasing the B-21 was “being examined” and US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall suggesting his country would be “willing to talk” about a deal.
