Australian Aviation’s Victor Pody was in the Victorian capital to capture the moment the super jumbo, VH-OQL, landed at 7:14am on 17 June.

The airline will fly between Brisbane and Uluru on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday using Airbus A320 aircraft. The first flight, JQ667 on board the A320-200 VH-XNN, touched down at Ayers Rock Airport just before 11am on Thursday.

More than 1.1 million people are expected to pass through Melbourne’s domestic terminals over the 17 days from Friday, as well as more than 500,000 international travellers. The airport expects the next three Fridays to be the busiest days, with around 105,000 passengers on each day.
