Register news
This issue we have two exciting new aircraft on the register. The first is the CAC CA-19 Boomerang that was registered as VH-JEB on 11 May. It was registered to High Performance Aviation of Tyabb, Victoria. With c/n 1073 this machine was previously A46-249. It was owned by well-known warbird aircraft restorer, Dick Hourigan. He is also part owner of the CAC CA-18 Mustang A68-105, VH-JUC.
For many years, Hourigan had been collecting parts for his Boomerang project but the aircraft was meant to only be a static restoration. In more recent times the aircraft was moved from static restoration to airworthy standard restoration. The aircraft has been worked on at Tyabb with the Old Aeroplane Company.
