Delving deep into an unprecedented story

The fallout of the story behind the 737 MAX will change aviation forever. In fact, it already has, already is and will continue to do so.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the commercial aircraft we imagined would be the hallmark of aviation in the 2020s — the jets that our stablemate magazine Australian Aviation has been covering in depth since their genesis — will not play the role that the industry imagined before three hundred and forty-six lives were lost in the waters of the Java Sea and on rocky Ethiopian soil.
