KLM, which lays claim to being the world’s oldest airline still operating under its original name, was established 100 years ago. Today, operating out of its home base in Amsterdam, the KLM Group serves a global network with a fleet of more than 200 aircraft.

It is a long way from its more humble beginnings in October 1919 – one of small group of nations starting to view aviation as a practical commercial means of opening up the world.
