A world of pain
The here and there of sub-standard
Two flying stories, same issue, half a world apart. That is what I found recently on two flights at different flying schools.
The first was a local school where I had rung and booked a new aircraft type that I wanted to get some time in. I fronted at the appointed time and waited for my allocated instructor. At the appointed time I was told that he had been delayed on a previous flight and then, suddenly, he appeared. He said hello and gave me his Christian name. I gave him mine. We then went into the instructor’s room to do an aircraft-type video briefing. By page three it was apparent that he had selected the wrong aircraft model so it was back to the start to get the right machine.
