Tribute to aviation’s unsung heroes

Ah, that title. It may be conjuring images of khaki clad aviatorwearing Defence Force pilots, F/A-18’s and Blackhawks dodging combat ground fire or KC-30s mastering the ballet that is inflight refuelling. But you would be wrong.

This piece is about the front line of commercial aviation – the guys and girls we refer to as cabin crew. Once you have spent a bit of time with these pinnacles of confined space catering, these masters of the quick turnaround, these inflight intensive carers, you will see why I call it the Front Line.
