Apology was a huge step for Boeing
The sight of Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg sitting on the flightdeck during flight testing of a 737 MAX following an upgrade to control software showed one of two things.
That Muilenburg ascribes to the maxim that good generals lead from the front or, more cynically, that Boeing was always going to seize the opportunity for some much-needed positive spin against the backdrop of the biggest crisis in the manufacturer’s history.
