Wings to wheels
How to make a quick getaway
One of the bigger challenges, or lets just call it costs, associated with fl ying your own aircraft is getting to and from your aircraft and the nearest café. You may be fortunate and arrive at an airfi eld with it’s own facilities, perhaps even a hotel! For many remote airfi elds that service GA/RA you’ll fi nd yourself a fi ve to 10 minute drive from the town centre and that town centre is yet to secure Uber as a service provider.
In this Good Kit we’re looking at compact modes of transport to get you closer to the caffeine with minimum effort. The fi rst assumption we’ll make is that space is at a premium in the average GA aircraft. The second is that you’re equipped with the balance and competency to ride a scooter or a pushbike, reviewed here. We’ll assume you are able, given the fact you just fl ew an aircraft prior to embarking mounting your GSE.
