The cockpit environment is particularly harsh on electronic devices. Limited cooling options and the power required to run your average EFB place substantial demand on your device. You’ll be aware of this if your device rests on your lap, thanks to the metal backing plate scorching your pants as it tries to contain the hot insides of your iPad.
