Less panem, more circenses
Inflight entertainment continues to evolve beyond the hunger games
Remember the days when inflight food was the most entertaining part of the flight? The days when even economy meal trays contained at least three or four side-items in addition to the main course, with a little foil-wrapped pat of butter to try (often in vain thanks to over-refrigeration) to spread over a roll (ditto), a starter-slash-side-dish, perhaps a bit of salad, and some kind of dessert, with little packets of this and pots of that to open up?
Those days are largely gone, and it’s partly thanks to the fact that it has become much easier to use on-demand inflight entertainment circuses rather than overly chilled bread to keep an increasingly densely-packed population placated in the air.
